From Cleveland Synth Club:

Sunday Oct. 28 at Pat's
Etherlink - Chloe (Galvanic Shock) - Gossamer

I supported the scene the other day, and I lived to tell about it. But, not unlike Ollie North, I can't recall (at least, some of) it. And since the reason why we are here is, simply, synths, I'll try to stick to the topic. And please don't kill me if you don't like my narrow and unfounded opinions....

Etherlink - 2 days later I can't recall their sound... so maybe they're not catchy, or maybe I'm not impressionable (I do run around the house singing "leisure time, leisure time warehouse", however.) They sported a female singer and I think someone on a Yamaha DJx - which isn't a synth in my book. Their music: goth; and it was rather pleasant to listen to. However, I would recommend they stick to the studio, for they had no stage presence.

Chloe (Galvanic Shock) - a total diamond in the rough. Awesome lo-fi beats sported by a Roland sp-808 and mc-303. Some pre-recorded synth-scapes - like lounge music in 2012.
Even some live synth chops (i think it was a korg dw-6000 and Juno 106). All of this was highlighted by Chloe's brilliant reverbed-out vocals. Passionate, well-plotted, emotional songs not unllike Bjork and Portishead. All done via Chloe in impish costume. Marvelous and refreshing! Must see!

Gossamer - tried and true more electronic version of the Sisters. Tight sound, fab acoustic guitar, and sure it is Sisters, but the dude still has a good voice. Some good musicianship here - even without their guitarist who couldn't make it.
(p.s. what's in the water in Columbus? Wake, Gossamer.... makes you sing all bassey.)
